Favela’s online sales are soaring by 172%
Greek fashion brand Favela has a shop in Athens and also supplies wholesale designer clothing, accessories and footwear. The company has been using Google AdWords and Google Analytics since it launched its e-shop around two years ago, and has achieved results beyond its wildest dreams. Online sales have grown by 172% in 12 months, while total revenue from retail and wholesale activities has shot up by 30%. Mrs Eleni Zaharopoulou, Spokeperson for the company, says, “Using Google tools is very important for our online activities. For us, no other communication channel is as cost-effective.” There’s also been a significant increase in the number of sales from Cyprus, where the brand has no physical presence and can only reach its audience online. Favela’s new, updated e-shop is currently only available in Greek, but it aims to soon enter other markets. But following the initial boost in sales, the company has already hired two new employees to help it respond to the increased demand.
