Baunat becomes an international business in just six years
Google is priceless to Baunat, a diamond retailer that sells its own collection of premium-quality jewellery online. In the early days of the business, Google AdWords enabled Baunat to build its client base incredibly quickly. And Google Global Market Finder put Baunat on the international map. They started out in 2008 in Antwerp with just two employees, but now have 25 staff based in three offices around the world. Co-founder Steven Boelens summarises: “Google is extremely valuable to us as it gets results. Thanks to Google, we’ve gone from being a two-man operation to an international business in just six years.”
Baunat’s secret weapons have been Google AdWords and Google Analytics – they’ve helped the company work out where to sell a particular diamond to achieve the highest sales. As there are so many variables in these tools, they’ve been able to react quickly and drive success. “Google improves its products every year, so companies like ours can keep sales growing,” concludes Steven.
